The United Nations Resident Humanitarian coordinator and UNDP Representative presented credentials to the President of the state of Eritrea H.E. President Isaayas Afwerki on 20th February, 2010.

During his meeting with the President, the Resident Coordinator discussed bilateral relations and the support of the UN to the government's development efforts.

The UN office in Eritrea was establlished in 1994 after the Government of the Sate of Eritrea and the United Nations signed an agreemet which prescribes the support of the Country's development plan. This is based on the needs and priorities of the Government of Eritrea.
